Re: New Here
I love HOD SO much, I just put up a post a couple days ago raving about it :) It truly is an answer to our prayers and exactly what a schedule free "nerdy/hippie" (as my hubby calls me) needs! I know there a lots of ladies on here who have scheduled up their whole days and love it, and I LOVE that I...

HOD is the PERFECT curriculum for our family!
Hello Everyone! I never have time to post here, or check the message board very often but I LOVE the fact that it is here and I can go anytime of day to research my questions, get encouragement or just giggle at all the same exact situations I've experienced!! So basically I'm just a "creeper" lol B...

So blessed to be able to go to the MN homeschool conference!
My husband and I were so blessed to be able to go to the MN homeschool conference this past weekend. This is our 1st homeschool conference and it was SO exciting but there was also so much to do and see we were just wiped when it was over! We loved the gathering of all the other homeschooling famili...

Re: Questions from Minnesota
I'm from MN (born and raised ufdah! :D ) and brand new to homeschooling as well. I know for sure that you don't have to do anything for school until you have to "report" them to the district which is at 7 years old. So we have been considering this our "trial" year, in other words the year we can pr...

Re: Reading Made Easy vs. The Reading Lesson
Just like everyone above me, I'm not familiar with the other programs but I chose TRL for my 6 year old dd who's doing LHFHG this year and we love it! I love how they have the words/pages set up, it is very simple without a lot of pictures and it's really open and go for me, which I found really imp...

We are very blessed in MN that we don't have to have required amount of school days, just...

Re: LHFHG question about what's in the Teacher's Guide
Julie this now brings a new question from me: I have been following this thread very closely because this is exactly what I will be doing for my daughter this fall: LHFHG with the 1st grade options. I understand that if you want the math hands on activities for 1st grade you need to use the Beyond g...

I wanted to write even though I haven't "officially" home schooled my daughter yet, but I do know I've taught my girls their whole lives so far! lol I have a 5 year old who went to K in a ps this year. Re: Really exciting news - and it involves HOD!
I HAVE to say something! I am new here, I have been trying to see if HOD is right for our girls, and have been checking out the posts for weeks now just observing and gathering information for my decision but I have to say that this is the most encouraging and sweetest thing I seen! Your daughter is...
