So blessed to be able to go to the MN homeschool conference!

Post by CortezClan » Tue Apr 20, 2010 10:39 am

My husband and I were so blessed to be able to go to the MN homeschool conference this past weekend. This is our 1st homeschool conference and it was SO exciting but there was also so much to do and see we were just wiped when it was over! We loved the gathering of all the other homeschooling families for encouragement and enrichment so much we are already making plans to go next year!

BUT the best part of the WHOLE conference was being able to go to the HOD booth and buy our school books for next year!!! It was SO amazing to see Carrie and Julie talking non-stop to everyone who stepped in, to be able to pick up and see the books I've been pouring over in the catalog almost daily, and of course being able to feel confident in our plan for next year before we went really helped us not get overwhelmed! I was almost ready to leave once we got our books so I could look over everything hehe. And my husband got a great workout carrying the bags we walked away with :D

Thank you SO much to Julie for helping me out on the couple of questions and for being such an expert on the books and ordering process that we were in and out almost too fast! lol I am truly excited to go to nexts year conference just to see you both and be able to get the next set of books! Yippee!

I can't share enough how much I LOVE HOD and how excited I am to continue our homeschooling journey with such amazing curriculum and access to this board :) Both of us are even more sure than we were before that we are making the right decision for our family to homeschool and in using this curriculum for our kids!

THANK YOU both SO much for all you do!!!
Loving HOD!! Married 9 yrs to my St. Paul Fireman hubby, Mama of 3 beautiful girls, Adriana 8, Elena 5, Elisia 4 and our miracle of a boy Alejandro 1!

CortezClan,
So happy you had a wonderful time & were reassured once again of the blessing God has given you (& our family too :D ) with HOD! We were sad to not be able to make it to convention this year :( - but look forward to going in the future!

CortezClan,

Thank you so much for sharing your excitement over the convention and your upcoming year! :D It blessed me so much today and was a true encouragement to my heart! :D We feel privileged to get to meet so many wonderful families through this board and conventions, and we lean heavily on the Lord for His direction and guidance for us during this busy season. Only through Him is anything accomplished within our business or our lives! :D

Blessings,
Carrie

Cortezclan - I totally remember talking to you and your dh! You are such a smiley, encouraging lady, and your dh was beaming too. :D It is neat to be able to put your face with your name now here on the board. I am so glad you had a good time at the book fair, and I thoroughly enjoyed visiting with you and your dh. :D You'll have to show your mom your HOD guide, so she can see how great you are going to be at homeschooling all of your little ones - even though you have more than 2 sweeties! I'm so glad you and your dh have been blessed with many dc, as you are obviously wonderful parents who cherish your dc. This was such a happy post for me to read before signing off this evening - thanks so much!!! :D

In Christ,
Julie
