On the 16th, we were getting ready to go camping for a week. I was using the sewing machine and sewed through my finger nail. The first night of camping it kept me awake because of the pain. Thankfully the worst of the pain let up and I was able to enjoy the rest of our camping week. When we got home, the finger began to get infected. I had it checked and x-rayed. There was a quarter inch piece of the needle in my finger.
I knew the needle had broken off, but I couldn't find it to see if it was all there. I went to orthopedics and they scheduled me for the following day to go to the surgery center to have it taken out. The night before that appt. I had cut the bad nail back. Later that day, the needle started pushing out of my finger. We were able to pull it out. Praise the Lord I didn't have to go to surgery! Now we are nearing our dd's wedding day. Friday we are letting #2 go. (Bittersweet) We will miss her because she is moving out of state about 12 hours away, but we are so thankful that she has found a good Christian young man and she is so excited. Please pray that we have everything in place and that our foster daughter and grandson will not cry as our dd8 pulls them down the aisle in a wagon.
An exciting day it will be! After all this, I have to say, I have been very anxious to get started in Beyond. I am anticipating a great year! LHFHG was excellent, but now that we've had experience with HOD, I feel better equipped this year to get the most out of our school days, and have fun doing it. Looking forward to being back on 'board'.
