Taking a DITHOR poll......

Post by striving2Bprov31 » Sun Nov 28, 2010 7:17 pm

How long do you spend per day on DITHOR level 4/5? I am just curious of what others do for my future planning.

I would love to hear from all of you that use level 4/5!!!! :)

Thank you!!

Liz

We are doing DITHOR 4/5 right now, and I'd say on average 25-30 minutes. :D That's including everything. My teaching time is maybe 10 minutes every other day or so. The amount of time varies quite a bit based on the books we choose and the number of pages my ds reads each day. Right now, he's doing a mixture of books from the 4/5 Boy Interest Package and the 6/7/8 Boy Interest Package. Last year when he did Level 4/5, the books we chose were shorter and the time was too. HTH - enjoy DITHOR - it's a fulfilling way to go about teaching reading. :D

Liz,

At that level when we did it last year, we scheduled 35 min. each day for DITHR. We were almost always done within that time frame, but I did keep the readings fairly short. :D

Blessings,
Carrie
