We are doing DITHOR 4/5 right now, and I'd say on average 25-30 minutes. That's including everything. My teaching time is maybe 10 minutes every other day or so. The amount of time varies quite a bit based on the books we choose and the number of pages my ds reads each day. Right now, he's doing a mixture of books from the 4/5 Boy Interest Package and the 6/7/8 Boy Interest Package. Last year when he did Level 4/5, the books we chose were shorter and the time was too. HTH - enjoy DITHOR - it's a fulfilling way to go about teaching reading.

At that level when we did it last year, we scheduled 35 min. each day for DITHR. We were almost always done within that time frame, but I did keep the readings fairly short.
