Caddie Woodlawn - Girl Interest reading

I just noticed that Caddie Woodlawn is a recommended reading for CTC - we're jumping in HOD at RTR and there is another Caddie Woodlawn book for the 5/6 girl interest reading. Does anyone know if the Caddie Woodlawn in the 5/6 girl interest reading would be easier to understand if my dd would read the other Caddie Woodlawn that is recommended reading for CTC FIRST? She's an AWESOME reader so I could add it in this summer...I just need to know so I can plan accordingly.

Ok, this may sound silly. I haven't read Caddie Woodlawn's Family yet, but I am going to encourage you to read and/or have your daughter read the original Caddie that is listed in CTC anyway. It is such an amazing book! Just my opinion, but it was a favorite of mine as a girl! I waited impatiently for the opportunity to read it to my dd. I read it to her this year, during Preparing, because I couldn't wait for CTC. She loved it! It is a book you won't want to miss!
