Really love Write With the Best and.....

.....the scheduled language arts for CtC!

Write With the Best is amazing!! I was so apprehensive about teaching writing. WWTB takes me through the process step by step! Also, using it has made me realize how much I actually remember from when I was in high school, so I have had a lot of fun teaching with this program! It is such a good balance with the Rod and Staff books and dictation.

It's a great feeling to know that my daughter is getting a solid foundation in language arts!

Liz,

I'm praising the Lord with you today! :D We have tried so many writing programs with our oldest son through the years, and this one is a winner! :D It truly takes the kiddos through the writing process in bite-sized pieces, and it ties it so well to classic literature and wonderful examples of the written word. We plan to use Write with the Best II at some point as well. :D

My older sister was a high school literature/creative writing/grammar teacher, and she said that nothing prepared her homeschooled kiddos for high school as well as Write with the Best. Both of her older two kiddos went on to public high school and graduated 2nd in their respective classes of 650+ kiddos. Their literature/writing teachers felt they were very well-prepared too! So, it isn't just you and I who think this program is fabulous. It truly has great carry-over. :D

I agree that the balance of Rod and Staff and dictation with Write with the Best is a strong, balanced mix of language arts (without allowing language arts to take over the school day)! :D Thanks so much for sharing! :D

Blessings,
Carrie
