This is my first year with HOD and we're doing Beyond this year with my older two, since they both placed squarely in that program based on the placement charts. (My son has some vision issues that are nearly resolved, but he is a little behind in LA and Math.) We are in Unit 17, and loving it! My only concern is that my son is wanting more in the areas of History and Science. I think this problem will be easily taken care of once we start Bigger this fall, but I'm looking for some ways to give my son some more "meat" now (without using any of the resources that are used in Bigger, since I'm planning on using it next!

Do you have any ideas for me? Maybe it would be fine for me to just give him other reading to do that is unrelated to what we are doing in Beyond?
My son is a good independent reader and can read books like "21 Balloons" and "The Story of Thomas Alva Edison" (My great-grandfather actually worked for him, by the way, so that was fun for my son to read

I considered moving him to Bigger now, but I'm honestly not sure that I'm ready to add in another program at this point. (But I'd be happy to hear your opinions on that too!)
Feel free to ask me any info about my son that would be helpful!

Thanks in advance!!!!
