Switching handwriting programs?
Switching handwriting programs?
This year my youngest son is doing A Reason For Handwriting K and while I like it just fine, I really like what I see with the Getty Dubay Italics Handwriting. Is it okay to switch to the Italics handwriting for next year or is it important to stay consistent and use the same handwriting program from year to year? Thanks!

Re: Switching handwriting programs?
I think it would be fine to switch this early on!

Re: Switching handwriting programs?
I was wondering about this, too. I like the Italic Cursive that we're using with my dd8 this year (she learned the stick/ball style in public school and transitioned fine.) I had considered beginning our ds, now nearly 4, in A Reason...bk K in a year or so, and switching him to Italic style when he's ready for cursive. What did you like better about Italic book than A Reason...K? Just wondering, I haven't seen either beginning level book in person at all, just looking online...

Thanks Julie!
I guess one thing I like better is just that the handwriting looks nicer and the book is a little less expensive.
