Ignite your Writing? did I miss this?

I was browsing the web-site, and saw Ignite your Writing recommended for 4th-5th. Somehow I missed this when I was ordering, and I certainly haven't seen it written into the plan for Preparing. Did I miss something important? Do I need to have it, and if so, how do you use it since it's not in the plans? Thanks.

Igniting Your Writing is not needed if you are doing Rod and Staff or another grammar that has a strong writing component. I used it last year with Preparing per Carrie's recommendation since I wasn't using Rod and Staff and needed something for writing.

Oh, thank you! I am using R&S 4 with oldest dd, so I guess I'm okay.

The pp was exactly right. Also, beginning with PHFHG, creative writing lessons are part of the HOD guides, and therefore it would be overkill to add yet another writing program (unless you had a much older child doing the guide that needed extensions). So, not only is there writing in R & S English, but also additional creative writing in PHFHG on up. "Igniting Your Writing" is carried by HOD to fill the writing need for those families using only DITHOR. If you are using a core HOD guide, your writing is covered with the resources suggested in the packages for each guide. HTH!
