First day of PHFHG half speed

Post by Mom2Monkeys » Sat Aug 21, 2010 6:35 pm

I think it's going to be just the right fit! Just the change we needed :) Dd even did her independent history on her own. She read the directions aloud and i had her tell me the supplies she needed to have and gather them. She did well with it! She followed directions almost perfectly in both the guide and Draw and Write Through History. Grandpa's Box is a hit! All three of my big kids listened in. We made today a fun start day by leaving off math and grammar other than some games. We got it all done in less than the ideal time that I had allotted. I'm looking forward to this! Now to buy the guide somehow. This sample week only gets us so far! Thanks Julie, for all your wonderful advice getting us placed right thus year!

Oh Tamara, I'm so happy to hear this! :D I have been praying your dd will do well with PHFHG. I'm so glad it's a good fit, and if she does well with it from the start, that's a good sign she'll only continue to do better and better with it throughout the year. You deserved this satisfying start - I'm thrilled for you. :D

In Christ,
Julie

Yay, Tamara! :D That's great! :D

We loved Preparing - it's just full of great stuff. (Of course I haven't come across a HOD guide that I can't say that about yet. ) Grandpa's Box is an absolute favorite here!!! I'm personally excited to read it again in a few years...and again...and again!
