So proud of my ds7 in Beyond....and thankful

Post by inHistiming » Fri Aug 13, 2010 2:54 pm

I just wanted to share my joy about my ds 7. We just began using Beyond....last week, going slowly through. This is our first time using a guide with him (older dc used Beyond and Bigger) and I was just a little unsure if he was really ready, as my dd was not at that age. I'm so happy to say that the first unit went very well. We are enjoying the history readings, the story time (reading Mountain Born), science, poetry, etc. DS has been able to remember some of the poem 'The Storm" and recited for me (on his own at bed time) his memory verse. I am so thrilled we are using Beyond....again and so thankful that things are going well. Thanks again, Carrie, for all of the time you put into these guides! :)

inHistiming,

I'm catching up on the board bit by bit, but just wanted to celebrate the fact that you have another sweetie going through Beyond! It brings back memories of the older ones, doesn't it! :D Where does the time go!

Blessings,
Carrie

It does! And today, we were going through some of our boxes from the NY house, and found her binder from the first 15 weeks of Beyond...(we went through it in 2 separate years due to getting her caught up in reading). It got me excited all over again about what my ds will be learning about and learning to do. :D
