Anyone know where to get good free downloads?

Post by tbarr12 » Fri Jul 02, 2010 8:50 am

We are getting ready to leave on a big trip to the beach tomorrow!!! I was wondering if anyone can recommend some good web-sites for downloads for the kids to listen to. I'd love to load them up with some edifying listening while we travel! Thanks!

free public domanin audiobooks at www.librivox.org

Here is a link to the children's genre:

From LibriVox, we have enjoyed so many audiobooks, I can't list them all! But here are a few:
Thornton Burgess books; animal stories by Arthur Scott Bailey (these are sweet animal stories very similar to Burgess); Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book, Just So Stories; Andrew Lang's Fairy books; Mother Goose Rhymes; Aesop; Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass; Heidi; A Little Princess; The Secret Garden; Jules Verne titles; Robert Louis Stevenson poems and also Kidnapped; Swiss Family Robinson; My Father's Dragon; Understood Betsy; Wind in the Willows; all of the Oz books by Baum

There are so many, just look at the link to find something you like! We have really enjoyed LibriVox!
