Besides learning the Hymns in Bigger I will play these free MP3's and mention that this was the music of Christopher Columbus' era.
That's it. No composer study, no additional work. Just a soundtrack for our history travels.

I think I will do the same with picture study, architecture, sculpture, etc. Just put them on our bulletin board for the era of history we are studying and that's it. At this age this is all they need and HOD has done all the work for us, so... this other stuff is just "decoration" for the senses.
