Question about Books for Drawn in the Heart of Reading

Post by patekake » Sun May 03, 2009 10:09 am

Well, here I am on vacation, and we are working our way towards the Homeschooling convention in Arlington on Friday. We will be making our purchases for our first
year of HOD, but I have one more question. We will be using CTC for our 6th grade daughter and will use the History read alouds for the extensions. The girl interest books look wonderful and I was wondering if these could be used for Drawn in the Heart of Reading since they cover the different genres. Thanks for your help!

Yes, that is one of the intended uses for them. They can also be used as read alouds if desired. We are using them for DITHOR with my 6th grader next year.

Patti,

Yes, we've actually recommended the Girl and Boy Set from CTC to those looking for a ready-made book pack for Level 6/7/8 of DITHR (even though that wasn't the intention behind them when we were selecting them)! :D

Blessings,
Carrie
