Photobooks are successful!

Post by Jessi » Sun Feb 22, 2009 7:15 am

Julie- Just wanted you to know that over on HSR, a lady was interested in knowing more about HOD and wondering if it was academically challenging. Many people responded very favorably and I went ahead and posted the link to the photobooks. She really liked the photobooks and after viewing them and reading everyone's advice, she believes they'll be going with HOD next year. Good work on the books!!!!! Just wanted to pump you up about all the work you have been doing with them.

Is it possible to have a link on the homepage to take prospective HODies to the shutterfly books? Sometimes I think it helps people who are unsure if they can "see" the program in action. Just a thought!!!!

Daisy- Julie ( Carrie's sister) created photobooks of each guide through Bigger. I believe that she is still working on Preparing and DITHR books. She did such a great job!!!

One poster found that if you do these directions below you'll be able to read it better and blow it up to see the pictures and text.

Set up your own shutterfly account on their website.
Save Julie's book(s) to your account.
Click on the desired book (that you saved) under your project area on MyShutterfly.
As you're looking at the pages, click on the text to edit it, and you'll be able to read it all.

Jessi,

That is something I can check into. What a wonderful idea! I am a visual learner, so I completely understand the need to "see" things in order to picture them better in my mind. :D I wonder if the photobooks stay on Shutterfly for only a certain period of time? I'm thinking that Shutterfly wouldn't be able to store them on their site indefinitely?

It is a joy to have the wonderful photos and comments that moms have shared compiled in one place. The books are beautiful, and I know moms and dads will love getting a peek at them at conventions! I'm so glad that you have all had a chance to see them too!

Blessings,
Carrie

Thanks, Jessi! :D It is great to know that the photobooks are helping others get a feel for HOD. I'd never thought of posting that link on other boards until you did - that was very thoughtful of you. Isn't it amazing how these photobooks began just as something to show at conventions, but God has used them in other ways we never dreamed of already too! :) I do think that we can put a link on the website - I'll chat with you about that Carrie, and we'll figure it out. :D As I am working on the PHFHG photobook right now, that kind of encouragement makes it easy to keep going.

Daisy - I hope to have the PHFHG photobook finished this week, and then I'll post the link again, but it will be at the same link Jessi provided. :)

In Christ,
Julie

That would be so neat to have them on the website! Good point about how long shutterfly would hold them for you, Carrie. Let us know if you find anything out. :-) Bless you!!!
