Preparing...Arctic tundra

Post by gracelikerain » Mon Sep 22, 2008 8:51 pm

We are now on unit 4 day 1. :D TOTALLY loving it! The one small square book on the Arctic tundra is wonderful. We really are enjoying it. As we are almost done with it I thought it would be nice to watch a video of the Arctic tundra. On the discovery channel last year I digitally recorded the whole Planet Earth series & I reviewed some of it just now & I can't wait to watch it with the kids. They have Ice Worlds, where after about 20 minutes into it they get into the Arctic tundra region. It is so cool seeing all the animals in their natural habitat. 8) Then they have another one called Pole to Pole. This one has the whole first 20 minutes covering the Arctic tundra & it hits on the other animals & trees that were left out of the other show. It is such a beautiful series & if you can get a copy of it then I highly recommmend that you see it!

Oh, that is a great idea! I have the Planet Earth dvd's.....I'll get them out tomorrow and have my boys watch the arctic tundra. We finished the book today, so it will be a good way to wrap it up. :D Thanks for the suggestion. :)
