Textbook for Singapore 1a and b?

Post by amysue277 » Thu Feb 14, 2013 8:05 pm

I noticed on the HOD site that they sell both the textbook and workbook for Singapore 1A and 1B. Are all 4 books needed? I am a bit confused about all of the textbook vs. workbook things that Singapore offers, and just to make sure I get what I need for next year. Any feedback is appreciated!

I'm not positive, so hopefully others will chime in. I think you only need the workbook for 1A and 1B. I ended up purchasing both and never used the the textbook. I just followed Carrie's activities in the guide.

Tracy is correct. Assuming you are looking to use Singapore 1A and 1B with Beyond next year, then you do not need the textbooks, as the Beyond guide has scheduled daily math activitites to take the place of the textbook instruction. If, however, you are wanting to use 1A and 1B with LHFHG, then you would want to purchase either the textbooks, or the Beyond guide so that you can use the scheduled activities.

This is all correct too, and the last sentence explains well why HOD carries the textbooks. HTH! :D
