Hello - It has been a while since I've hopped on these boards that I used to be addicted to!

It's sorta a feeling of coming home - so cozy to read everyone's positive & encouraging comments! I am a former HODer but joined a structured sorta co-op with a hefty tuition mainly because I felt that I needed the rigidity & accountability that it brought. We just had 5 weeks off for the Christmas season & so I pulled out my old HOD curriculum & just did it "for fun" with my 4 during our off time. I cannot tell you the peaceful fun-filled days we have had just doing HOD "for fun." This morning at breakfast my 6yr old son said Mom when you teach us from that book (the HOD user guide) our lives are so much better (yes slightly dramatic - too many sisters). So now I face getting back into our current curriculum & back into the swing of things with our meeting group this coming week, which was all going fine...that is until we saw the peaceful flow of an HOD day & oh the fun! that is involved in the HOD curriculum. I didn't even realize we were lacking & am wondering ok Lord, what was your plan here? I am praying about our next step.
So I guess I posted this just to encourage you all in your path & choice of this great curriculum -I'm sure nothing I have to tell you. You can pray for me as I follow God's leading too.
Hugs to you all! (& hug your HOD user guide too!)

2plus2,
It is good to "see" you!

Thank you for your gracious words of encouragement. They blessed my heart today.

I will say a prayer that the Lord will show you His will for your homeschooling for this time in your life and that you will have a peace in your decision. He knows your needs and is always faithful.
Blessings,
Carrie

Me too! Let me just tell you I echo your ease in doing HOD as opposed to being part of a co-op! We experienced that too!

... Or maybe you did a GOOD thing!

God can tug a mama's heart in any direction He chooses. Maybe he is tugging at your heart to return to using HOD! Only you can know that by being in prayer about it, but God does work in mysterious ways. Thanks for your encouraging words here, and I'm sending an HOD hug your way!
In Christ,
Julie

You sound like where I was about a month ago.

Only we returned to HOD after 4 months of trying other popular curriculum that I thought I could use to combine my two oldest. God led us back to HOD and I'm so thankful!!! Just wanted you to know (if you do decide to come back to HOD) you're not the only one who's come back.
