Bigger Question about Language Arts options

We are doing Beyond Spelling List 1 for DS7 this year. I was looking at the Bigger packages and see that in the LA section you do either spelling or dictation. Typically, which option do you choose? I think I remember reading that the Spelling List 2 in Beyond is the same as the one in Bigger.

And if you choose to do the spelling in Bigger are you missing out on the dictation experience? Does Preparing cover that?

Hi Whitney,
In Bigger, if the spelling list is appropriate for your child, you use that along with the daily spelling activities scheduled in the guide. Since you are using spelling list 1 in Beyond, your next step is to use Spelling list 2 in Bigger. Since you are using the spelling in Bigger, you would begin dictation in Preparing. Preparing includes the same level of dictation as Bigger, plus two more levels for when that level is complete. Each guide from Preparing on up includes 3 levels of dictation in the appendix, and they overlap, so you will always be ready with the next level as needed.
