It's like Christmas! :D
It's like Christmas! :D
I just had to share. When we got home this afternoon our HOD package was there waiting for us on the doorstep. After examining the return address I announced what it was and both my big boys let out squeals of excitement! My biggest boy even did a happy dance! Both insisted I immediately take it inside and open it up. Then they both stood (okay wiggled ) nearby while I ripped open the book and pulled out one book after another. They wanted me to read every title and flip through every book to show them the pictures and explain what it was for. Then they wanted to flip through the books themselves, pointing and asking questions about things that caught their eye. In the end I had to threaten the loss of a mall trick-or-treating trip to get them to head off for their afternoon quiet times/nap, even though before getting home they'd both been nodding off in the car! Now they're all quietly in bed and it's mommy's turn to pour over the pages and delve into the teacher's guide intros.

For some reason its almost better than Christmas, and it will definitely get a lot more use than a lot of Christmas gifts do!

I'm so excited that you have your books in hand! My fourth little guy just got his LHFHG books today (out of storage), but he was beside himself with joy. He feels so big! We just finished LHTH with him.
Blessings,

This was so fun to picture in my mind! I love it that even our BIG boys can get excited about school - that's rare, and such a blessing to us as homeschool moms. Have fun looking over all of your things, and I pray you have a wonderful year, kamaridan!kamariden wrote:...both my big boys let out squeals of excitement! My biggest boy even did a happy dance!
