Hi!! Have a ? about LHFHG ordering

Post by 6timeboymom » Tue Apr 22, 2008 11:12 pm

We have been BUSY with a capital B lately!!! I have been in HOD-ie withdrawal!!!

Bigger is going awesome-just added in the poems and the dictation today (started unit 4) and so far, so good!! Still love it (of course...)

Greyson (4.5 yr old) is really "done" with Little Hands. I want to get the Little Hearts for him to start. He likes LHTH, but it's "easy" for him and he's really ready for kindergarten. Now I gotta decide if I order it today, or wait till June to buy it at the conference! I'm sure I'll buy it this week...

So, Now to the real reason for the post!
I wonder exactly what to get-what's out of print, what's not, etc.
So far I have this:
Teacher Guide
History Stories for Children
*we already have the history for little pilgrims book
the 2 Rod and Staff Workbooks
The reading set (8 books-peter rabbit, etc.)
*I have phonics covered
*I have handwriting covered
Devotions for the children's hour
the world God made
kindergarten math (whatever level that is-I forgot! It's marked on the website, though!)
Hide em in your heart CD

Is the Family Time Bible available yet/again? I think I would prefer that one. I think that's all I would be missing.

*doing the happy dance* Can't wait to order!! so Answer, quick!!

I'll give it a shot. :D

History Stories for Children has been revised, but your guide will have schedule for the older one. If you decide to get the new version of HSFC then you can find the revised schedule on the HOD website. I will link below.

Family Time Bible is back in print.

Singapore Early Bird 2a and 2b are being revised into a standard version. You can still get the US editions in most places at least for a little while. Carrie has said she has enough copies to sell for quite a while.

You will need the revised schedule for Jerry Muskrat unless you have Uncle Wiggly Animal Bedtime Stories.

Here is the update page:
http://www.heartofdakota.com/updates.php
It will give you the schedule for Jerry Muskrat and and any other updates you may need.

6timeboymom,

Susie did a terrific job of answering your questions! Thanks, Susie! :D

I also wanted to pop-in and mention that we do place a loose-leaf copy of the revised schedules for History Stories for Children and Jerry Muskrat inside the front cover of your guide when you purchase it too! 8)

Blessings,
Carrie

Thanks!!
I'm now thinking I'll put my 7 yr old in that program, too, and use one of the extension packs. He's liking Bigger with the older boys, but I think he would be more succesful in a "younger" program, if that makes sense.

So, now I'll have to order again! not a problem!!

Darci,

It can take a bit of moving around sometimes to find the best fit for everyone, but once you do, you should be able to just move on forward.

Blessings,
Carrie
