Old LHFHG guide?

Just wanted to see what you all think. Is it absolutely necessary to use the new LHFHG guide with the change of a couple other books that were made to the program? Could I get away with using the older guide and still be ok, but order the other updated books that have been added, i.e. rod & staff books?

I believe the 1st grade fine-motor skills book is changed and the math plans throughout are changed. The math workbook that was planned in the old version of the guide is now out of print and you cannot buy new copies of it. The thing is, with the math workbook the guide has hands-on activities that really cement the learning of the concepts. So you really don't want to miss that, and it is so easy because that math is incorporated right in there for you. I think it's only a matter of a week or two before the new version of the guide is being printed, so I think you should just wait for that!
