Emerging Readers Schedule / Copyright

Post by MomtoJGJE » Thu May 02, 2013 7:59 am

Would it be ok for me to copy the Emerging Readers Schedule to put a copy in the LHFHG guide? Or is that against copyright?

LoraBeth,

Thanks so much for asking! :D I really appreciate it! The Emerging Reader's Schedule is copyrighted and is intended to be contained within our fuller Teacher's Guide, so we don't allow copying of the schedule. The reason for this is that once we allow it to be copied, it can readily be circulated in copied form. We've had to change the copyright of our DITHR Student Books for this very reason. On multiple occasions, we've had people show us entire photocopied Student Books that they have purchased at a used book sale or on ebay. We've also had women telling their friends right at our check out at convention that they'll just photocopy the Student Book for them, so they won't need to purchase it. So, now we no longer allow copying of any part of our guides or Student Books unless it is specifically allowed within the copyright.

Juggling between the Emerging Reader's Schedule in one guide and the main plans in another guide is much like juggling between DITHR and the main guide, so it can be done! :D Thanks again for asking. You are so gracious to inquire. :D

Blessings,
Carrie

It's not too hard, I just tend to forget about it without it being in the book!

Fortunately we only have about 9 more weeks in LHFHG so it won't be forever ;)

And that is amazing that people would say that right in front of you  insanity
