Its been awhile....

Post by BlessedMommy » Tue May 27, 2008 2:17 pm

Hello ladies! Its been awhile since I have posted. So let me reintroduce myself. I am Adrienne (Or Addie). I live in South Carolina with my wonderful hubby, our three munchkins, two dogs, a lepoard geko, and a hatian curly tailed dragon. This school year we have kinda done a little of this and a little of that. and now we have finished our school year and I can't wait to start on HOD!!

Our plan for next year:

For my K and 1st grader....
Little Hearts for His Glory

For my 3rd Grader.....
Bigger Hearts for His Glory
Switched on School House Math 3

For All:
Spell to Write and Read
The Adventure of Christmas (for Christmas Time)

I am so excited!!! This is the first year that I haven't had doubts before the boxes arrived.

Oh, would anyone elses child like a pen pal? I have a 3rd grade boy who would love one!

Hi Addie! :D I have an 8 yo boy, doing Bigger late summer/fall, too! He's sitting here while I'm typing and said that he'd like a pen pal...so maybe you can pm me and we can try it. :D

I'm really excited about our school year, just like you! :D We're going to be finishing LHTH and doing Bigger/DITHOR.

Hi Addie! I'm glad you're back, and your plan sounds great! We did LHFHG and Bigger/DITHR this past school year, so I know you're going to have a good year. Now, I have to ask, what is a "hatian curly tailed dragon"? I'm envisioning a tiny fire-breathing type animal with a flamboyant fluffy tail (with a spike on the tip). I have a feeling this "picture" is incorrect. What should I be picturing? Anyway, I'm excited for you to begin your journey with HOD. Keep on posting here, you'll love this bunch of HODies!

Julie

I wondered this same thing as I was posting, but had kids that needed my attention. We have pets...but nothing exotic...more the "farm animal" type. :D Maybe our boys can learn about each other's pets.

I promise....

Post by BlessedMommy » Tue May 27, 2008 7:17 pm

I promise our Haitian Curly Tailed Dragon isn't all that out there. Its a brown sand dwelling lizard.... his tail doesn't even curl. Ha!! We purchased him at our local petsmart.
My son used to have a chinesse water dragon but alas.... he was murdered by a crazy woman with febreze. Warning to all.... febreze isn't good for lizards!!
Our lepoard geko is named Leopold. and the Curly tailed is Jaxs.

I don't have any pictures of Jaxs on my blog but there are some of Leopold and of Zac the chinesse water dragon.

I will try and get some of Jaxs up soon.

Blessings
Addie

Thanks for clearing that up for me - although I still would like to be a fly on the wall at your house (although that might be dangerous, I guess!) I'm so glad you are getting ready to start HOD! Be sure to share your first week or month with us!

I don't know about being a fly on the wall, but I would definitley not want to be a cricket!!! Crickets go like hot cakes around here.
We go thru like 20 a week.

The boys wanted snakes.... I had to draw the line somewhere... and I am sorry I will deal with a lizard over a snake anyday.

My thought plan is to start HOD June 30th. We will get three weeks in before we go on vacation.
