Earth Science
I know we all are asking lots of science questions right now but please allow one more
. In NC we are required to take one year of Earth Science in High School for graduation. Wondering if anyone can share some ideas for Earth Science for 9th grade. Thanks!

Re: Earth Science
Suzy,
Honestly, my advice will differ based on what your science requirements are for your state. So, if you get a chance to share those that will help.
Some of the topics covered in the Integrated Physics and Chemistry course would fall under the category of earth science. There are 12 booklets in the IPC course, so you could go through and look at the table of contents of those and count some of those toward coverage of your earth science requirement. Some of the IPC labs will also go toward that as well.
Another good earth science option to add to what is already done in IPC would be the Christian astronomy course Signs and Seasons. This course has the option of labs in the back. The labs are quite extensive, so you could pick and choose what to do. Another one you could consider adding too would be the second course that was released after Evolution: the Grand Experiment. It is called Volume II: Living Fossils.
You could possibly do the astronomy and fossils courses back-to-back for a full credit instead of doing physics. For example, you could do IPC, Biology, Chemistry, and Earth Science for your 4 sciences. This is just one scenario.
Blessings,
Carrie
