As of yesterday, Dana is breathing on her own :) She is tolerating tube feedings of expressed milk, which they are steadily increasing, and she will be evaluated by an occupational therapist today as to her readiness to try eating by mouth. She is out of the incubator and in an open crib, as she is also regulating her body temp well. I am so thankful for all the prayers and for her progress. I will be seeing her later this morning, and will report anything new.

Welcome Dana Sharon and congratulations Lourdes! It sounds like you have an eager future HODie. :D That is a great size for a 32 week preemie! She is bigger than my dd who was born at 37 weeks. I will be praying for you and your newest blessing. :D

Today Dana took one feeding from a bottle, and did a good job trying to latch onto me at a tube feeding :) The occupational therapist says she is doing better than expected for her age in many ways, praise God. Her sisters love her so much, and Daddy is over the moon with joy :D Of course, school is on hold for now, since baby needs us all so much right now :)

Congrats baby Dana!! I know this is a HUGE step and that she will continue to grow quickly from here. :)

And I'm sure your big girls are learning a lot of life skills and more than they every wanted to know about a NICU! :)

Blessings,
