Hi Everyone,
This my 1st year homeschooling my 7 year old son. So far we are 4 days in and really enjoying the experience. We started our school year on Tuesday due to the holiday, and I was wondering how you all handle 5 days worth of lessons in only 4 days. I thought about doing school on Saturday just to "catch up," as the thought of starting a new unit every week on Tuesday just irks me, but I don't want to make Saturday school a habit. I'm sure my son would really love that!! *sarcasm* Do you have any suggestions for me?
Thanks for the help

I was wondering about this as well, except that we only work on a 4 day schedule. Currently we are just doing extra work on Mondays (we are completing Monday and Tuesday's work on Monday). Any ideas?
Thank you in advance

I do 4 days because we a coop on Fridays. I usually combine Friday with Thursday leaving out math and language/phonics.

So if you leave out the math on Fridays, do you play "catch up" or just follow your own schedule for math? Are you still finishing up math lessons during the summer? I'm just curious because I would LOVE a 4 day school week, but I don't want to miss anything! And I definetly don't want school to be in session during the summer!
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

I don't follow the math schedule in the guide. We needed to ease back into school after the summer off so we started early with language handwriting and phonics/English.

We keep a 4 day a week schedule since we have co-op on day 5. We literally just do 4 days of Beyond a week. So it'll take us some extra time come "end of the year" but I didn't want to get crazy. I am running 3 guides, so we're just taking each day one day at a time.
