I was ordering my curriculum tonight for LHFHG. I was hoping to order two sets of Singapore Math Kindergarten so that my younger son (who will be in K next year) would also be able to use these books since in the catalog it states that they are going out of print.

I was unable to do so because of guide rewriting, etc, and was curious if you thought I'd be able to go ahead with my purchase of the second set when the guides are done in August.

Ladies,

This is a good question! First, to clarify for those who may not have the full picture...

Since the Earlybird Kindergarten Math edition that we schedule in our Little Heart’s guide has gone out of print, we have restricted the sale of the Earlybird Kindergarten math to those customers who have purchased the Little Hearts for His Glory manual directly from Heart of Dakota. We would prefer not to have to restrict the sale of this product, but we have very limited quantities remaining, and we need to be able to service those customers who have purchased their Little Heart’s guide directly from our company to make sure they have what is needed for the upcoming year.

Currently, I am working hard to complete our newest guide Missions to Modern Marvels, which is scheduled for release in September. After that time, I will be able to focus on rewriting the math portion of Little Hearts.

At this point, I'm not certain which math we will use to replace the Earlybird Kindergarten Math. That decision will come after our existing stock of Earlybird Math is gone. In an effort to serve all those who have purchased their Little Heart’s guide from us, we are also limiting the Earlybird math purchase to one set. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes you this year, and we appreciate your understanding.

The rewrite of the math plans will be a major rewrite that will affect every page of the Teacher's Guide for Little Hearts. With this in mind, we are discussing various scenarios for how best to serve our customers to make sure that they have what is needed for math for the future. At this point, it would be best for you to just purchase the Little Hearts guide and go forward with your plans for this year. This is because we have quite a bit of existing stock of our current print run of Little Hearts for His Glory left, so we will definitely not be in a hurry to reprint the guide (and we will hold off any reprint scenarios until after the math plans are done). We'll be updating the board as decisions are made! For now, we pray that you will enjoy your upcoming year with Little Hearts!

So, for those that have already purchased the LHFHG, will there be access to the new plans with a PDF update like other corrections/replacements?

This is another great question! Since the math box is part of every day of plans within the LHFHG guide, a PDF replacement won't be a viable option as the replacement would be over 40 pages long when kept in box form. So, we won't be going that route. This means that we are exploring other options as to how to handle this unique situation while keeping in mind the amount of inventory we have left of our guides. When our Earlybird stock runs out, we'll make a decision on how to best serve our customer's needs for math after that.

All guides go through rewrites over time, and LHFHG is no exception. The longer a guide is around, the greater the rewrites! This rewrite just happens to be substancial enough that we cannot make a quick decision as to how we wish to handle it. Many factors will play a role in the decision.

So for customers that originally purchased the LHFHG set with the Earlybird Math books, and will need to purchase another set of math books for the up and coming child to go through LHFHG next, what should we do? Can we order just the math books now, or do we have to wait? I'll be using this with my next child soon and need to know if our guide will suffice with these books, or if we have to purchase a whole new guide book and math books?

I realize that you're so busy, Carrie, especially with writing the next guide and caring for your family, but thank you so much for giving attention to this, and helping us to fully understand it.
