I couldn't wait for the weekly check in! I LOVE this program! We were reading about the Pilgrims arriving in Holland and as we studied dikes and windmills my children really got into it. I was so bummed that I couldn't find one piece of moist playdough to do the activity. (
it was all dry and crumbly) Thursday is grocery store day and I will get it then.
I love these CLP books! I mean without the HOD activity suggestions they would be boring, but they make such a nice couple. (
) We open each day by asking the questions from the end of the chapter the day before and it really sets the stage for a wonderful read a loud/discussion time.

That's so wonderful to hear. It makes me so anxious to get started! I don't know if I can wait until fall or not!

Mary,
I'm so glad that you're loving your day! Today, my third grader was telling me that we only have 1 poem left before we finish "Bigger...."! Where does the time go? Looking back over his binder for this year, reminded me of all of the fun activities we've done and the great books we've read. But, I am biased!
Thanks for sharing!
Blessings,
Carrie

(ps....I use clay for that very reason, it never dries out. I have soooo btdt!

I truly am an Olive, but for some reason I fly by the seat of my pants often and have had to adapt my supplies accordingly.

On Thursday..... get clay.)

Mary,
Thanks so much for sharing!

I love to hear about what everyone is learning and doing. I have so much to look forward to as my kids keep growing and learning more. (I'm sure I will too.

)
Keep up the good work!
