Question about half-speed?
Question about half-speed?
In preparing for Bigger, I am making a schedule to begin half-speed. I thought I had it planned out, but I got thinking about storytime. For those who go half-speed, do you do it every other day, or do you do shorter readings each day to keep it flowing. I didn't think skipping days would be a good idea. Just wondering how that box is typically used at half-speed.

Re: Question about half-speed?
My kids love storytime. When we did half-speed, we did read aloud the story book every day, but the "storytime box" in the guide we did only every other day - so in that way we got through 2 books in 40 days of school (20 days in the guide), if that makes sense.

Re: Question about half-speed?
farmfamily - Yes, that sounds like a good idea. I didn't want want to cut the reading short, because I know dd can handle the normal amount of storytime full-speed would offer. That will be a good opportunity to get more books read.
