Apologia Science in CTC and RTR

Post by laurelmarie » Thu Apr 12, 2012 2:02 pm

Are the Apologia books used as the spine for science in these two years? Or are they just used as readers?

Well, I can't answer for RTR, but in CTC the Apologia text is one of several spines that the students read independently through the year! My dd loved it, & was always excited to tell me what she had learned! I'm assuming that the format in RTR is the same. HTH! :)

In RTR it is similar to CTC. You use the Apologia book as one of the spines. It is used for around 14 weeks and you do notebooking assignments, written narrations, oral narrations, and experiments all based on the reading in that book.
