High School credit for Rev2Rev and Modern Times

Post by deltagal » Wed Apr 11, 2012 3:41 am

Hello all,

Another bump in the road. :D I've just been re-reading threads and realizing that Carrie recommends only .5 credit for history for Rev2Rev and .5 for M&M. :? I had it in my brain that we could count each year as one full credit for history. Is anyone awarding 1 credit for history for each of these guides? Meaning a total of 2 credits. If so, would you elaborate. :?:

I am considering doing just the history portion of those 2 books for my ds, but I will only give 1 full credit in US History for the combined books. I will be adding in Government with Rev2Rev and Economics to Modern so he does not fall short on credits. Normally you need 4 credits in History....Geography, World, US, and Gov/Economics. Having 2 in US history will have you lacking somewhere else.

Alright let's see:

Geography - 1/4 credit for each HOD guide used in HS for a total of 1
Economics - .5 credit with beefing up in M@M guide (Junior year)
Government - .5 credit with beefing up in Rev 2Rev guide (Sophomore year)
Us - .5 credit from RevtoRev and .5 credit from M&M guide (Sophomore and Junior year)
World - either 1 credit from beefing up RTR (freshman year) or 1 credit from World History guide (Senior year)

I think we're okay and I now realize after re-reading the threads that it does say up to 1 credit with beefing-up.
