history quest

Post by cndrela » Sun Apr 01, 2012 12:47 pm

My kids are young, but I was curious...Are the states/capitals & presidents taught in any of the books? I know the public school system in IN teach both in 5th grade. I didn't know if I'm going to just find another way to add that in.

My understanding is there is an overview of states in Bigger and then in Rev to Rev there is a 50 state study. In the new MTM guide I am pretty sure Carrie said the presidents would be studied as well as a study of your individual state history.

Ok thank you very much. I just didn't know if I needed to find some other way to teach those two major things. :) My oldest will be doing Bigger next year, but I don't have it yet. I just joined the boards today & didn't want to search through everything looking, so thanks.

This is completely unrelated, but how did you get your kids age & grade under that line on your response?
