I am new to all this and am planning on doing BHFHG in Sept. did anyone buy the teachers manual for the English 2 workbook, is it essential? How helpful is it?

You will not need it. You can just follow along with the student text. You will know the answers! I will buy answer keys pretty easy since I usually find it makes grading easier with a houseful; however; I didn't need one at all for English 2. You do most of it together orally anyway.

We did not need the teachers manual, but my daughter enjoyed having the workbook that Rod and Staff puts out. It saved her writing for some lessons since we would just use the workbook lesson instead of doing the exercises in the textbook. (My DD had difficulty with writing for awhile.)
