Some HOD blessings
I just wanted to share some HOD blessings.
Some weeks ago I was teaching my son in Beyond. We were ready for story time when one of the older boys came with a complaint against his brother. I could see his point and for a minute I didn't know what to say. I looked down while I was trying to come up with a solution, and I noticed the verse I was getting ready to read to my son for story time. It was Proverbs 19:11. "The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression." It was such a blessing to have an answer for my son and also a good illustration to explain to my younger son in Beyond what the verse meant. I told my boy it is a glory to him if he does not get offended at his brother when he does something that isn't considerate. I was doubly blessed to see him taking it to heart and trying to surprise his brother a few minutes later by doing one of his chores for him.
I also received two sweet notes from my oldest son lately. He handed in a test with two heart shaped notes stuck to them. One said, "I love you, Mom! You are great. Thank you for ordering CTC. I love it!". The other one said, "I like math as much as History. It is fun. Thank you for everything."
Not every part of this year has been easy, but moments like these make up for it. I am so thankful for such an enjoyable and Christ-centered curriculum.

Well that just bring tears of joy to my eyes to hear about God's goodness and blessing in your family through His Word and how it has touched your kids hearts--thank you so much for blessing me with your experience. Praise the Lord! He is good.
"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."

Re: Some HOD blessings
Those are wonderful HOD blessings!
God's Word always seems timely, doesn't it? I have found when searching for a way to handle a parenting concern, often times one of the Bible verses, passages, or devotions in HOD helps me know how the Lord wants me to handle it. The notes your ds wrote are precious - definitely sweet memories to file away. Thanks so much for sharing here!
In Christ,
Julie

Thanks so much for taking time to share! These are blessings indeed!
Your post brought joy to my heart tonight, as we deeply desire for HOD to reach the hearts of children and turn them toward the Lord.
