Grace accepted Christ this week!
She prayed last Sunday night for God to "make her heart perfect," dh talked to her last week and it didn't seem like she was making the connection between God, her sins, and Jesus... she knew it all separately, but wasn't connecting them at all.
So he talked to her yesterday where she didn't actually have to look at him, which is very good for our introverted little goosie
He said he really feels like she is there... she was confused about a couple of things, but they talked through it and she understood...
now comes the big challenge. Jayden isn't there yet. She has all the head knowledge, but not the heart understanding. She has not been convicted yet. I am praying that God protects her heart (and honestly, convicts her) before Grace gets baptized. We haven't talked to Grace specifically about her being baptized yet.... DH is going to do that in the next couple of days.... so we don't know when it'll be. Dh is going to talk to Jayden before he talks to Grace, now that he's experienced what it is like to be as sure of a child's salvation as you can be. It's also been almost a year since we discussed Jayden's salvation (or not) with her.... we didn't feel she was there when we did talk to her, and she hadn't shown any fruit. She has started showing now that she knows when she does something wrong, even though it's through denial, it's still there. So maybe God is working in her already.

2.) for protecting Jayden's heart if she isn't ready yet
Now THIS is what life is all about - very exciting - very mountain-top - very life-changing, forever. May the Lord continue to work in Grace's heart - and my dc's too, each and every day.
