R&S Levels 3 and 4

Post by Molly » Fri Jan 27, 2012 12:18 am

Tell me, do you really need the teachers manuals for these? I have the opportunity to purchase the student guides from a previous edition very cheaply and wondered how necessary the Teachers Guides are. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You definitely need the teacher's guides. There's oral review questions in them that are really necessary to cementing the information. HTH! By the way, it's just not my opinion, it's HOD's suggestion. :D

Just agreeing that you need them...maybe not as much for level 3, but I'd not get level 4 and up without it!

Ditto - ask me how I know the oral review questions are SUPER necessary? I forgot to do them for a semester. Not good retention. I did not realize oral review questions were included beginning with Level 3, so I just went on doing what I'd been doing for Level 2, which was just teach from the student's book. Big mistake. Blessedly, I realized it, and we recovered. :D I highly suggest doing the oral review questions from the Teacher's Guide every.single.day. They are the key to better retention. HTH!
