LHFHG and adding in 1st grade Science

Post by lovetobehome » Thu May 01, 2008 12:47 pm

Hi ladies! I would like to try LHFHG for my 6 yo. I would like to do the 1st grade option for science, Our Father's World, but I also would like to know if the science activities really match up as well with that book, or if they would match better with The Word God Made. I would like the activities to correspond, so if they go better with The World God Made, I would choose that instead. Otherwise I would choose the 1st grade option. Does anyone know?

Well, hindsight is 20/20....I am using My Father's World, and if I had it to do over, I would have gone with The World God Made...the K one. Carrie has said that it is her favorite of the two, and I am learning more and more everyday to trust her opinions. I also think it would match up better. You will be able to move smoothly into the 2nd grade text God's Wonderful Words for Beyond.

Thank you, I will get that one then! I want it to be as integrated and connected as possible, so if there is more in The World God Made that goes with the TM for LHFHG then I think I will enjoy it all the more! I am not worried really about it being too easy as my DD will also be listening in on DS's science in Bigger....

I bought Our Father's World. We've done so much with just creation that I wanted a bit more than that. The books aren't that much, so if it seems too hard or not meshing I can always pick up the other one later.
