I forgot!

Post by MomtoJGJE » Tue Jan 03, 2012 6:02 pm

I was wondering why Julianna had done so much "extra' work in her fine motor skills/handwriting books. Then it hit me that I had intended on her doing both sets (K & 1st) of those two things while we do LHFHG half speed.... I guess the Christmas break did more damage for me than it did for the kids!

Lora Beth,

Isn't that funny how quickly we forget our best laid plans! I have this happen to me too. :D I think I need a vacation to recover from the Christmas "vacation". While I deeply love having so many family visitors, it truly is a whirlwind. I was honestly a bit relieved to settle back into the routine of school this week.

Blessings,
Carrie

We started back to school on the 28th of Dec just to get back in the groove! Everyone was grumpy and out of sorts. We are all much happier when we are doing school, even if they complain ;) And Julianna is MUCH happier now that I'm back to doing what I thought was best in the first place

   I've forgotten some things like this after a break too. One time, after a summer break, I accidentally started Wyatt an entire semester ahead in his Singapore math. A few weeks in, I was thinking, "Wow, what happened, this is hard!" when I looked back at last year's math and realized I'd started him the wrong place. Poor kid. Anyway, he survived it and still loves math, so no real harm done I guess. I'm glad you remembered too, and I agree - we get all out of sorts off our routine too. I'm with you, we're glad to be back to normal around here. :D

In Christ,
