Loving Little Hands to Heaven!

Post by inHistiming » Tue Apr 29, 2008 7:57 am

I just had to come on and share today! We did day 3 of LHTH today, and it is a HIT! DS just loves the fingerplay. His eyes light up when he is doing the motions.

He said just now, "I love activities like that." ...we glued cheerios on the 'A' today.

He adores The New Bible in Pictures for Little Eyes. Yesterday we did the activity that involves drawing pictures, then painting over it with the black paint. He asked me if I knew why he didn't draw any people. When I said no, he said, "Because God didn't make people yet!" I love that he can listen to the story, then make the connection in the other activities!

He also reminded me that as starts with the aaa sound like antelope, anteater, and ant. So, he is truly learning, and it's FUN for him. I'm so glad we made the switch and did not miss out on Little Hands...it's perfect for his age and ability. Thanks so much, Carrie, for creating this curriculum. And thanks to Carrie and all you ladies for helping me find the right 'place'.  :D

inHistiming,

That is awesome, I love reading "reports" like that! Your kiddo sounds like he is making some wonderful connections with Little Hands! Look forward to hearing more as you make your way through. :D

Oh, no guilt, my dear! Shake that thought off and give yourself a big pat on the back - we moms are way toooooo hard on ourselves sometimes. Plus, the Lord's blessed you with several more lovely daughter "preschoolers-to-be" - so why not do it with them?

Hooray, inHistiming! :D I agree that it is a wonderful thing to see that light in your child's eye and that smile on your little one's face! I love those moments with my children too.

I'm so glad you are getting a chance to use "Little Hands...". It is full of wonderful memories to be made!

Momof2n2,

I confess that I didn't do a real preschool with my oldest either. We just jumped into his formal academics (poor kiddo). But, my oldest is happy and enjoys his school, so no long-term damage done!

It looks like you have another pair of little ones coming up who may get a chance at "Little Hands..." though. My second and third sons have really enjoyed it.

Blessings,
Carrie
