A Quick Praise for HOD!

Post by tnahid » Thu Dec 01, 2011 12:02 am

Just a quick praise and testimony!

My son, who is 10 and who did NOT enjoy reading prior to HOD/DITHOR, now is currently reading in Bigger daily: Little Pilgrim's Progress (DITHOR), Ben and Me (extension), John Audobon, and his History selections independently daily PLUS about 10-12 books he checks out of the library every week on a wide variety of topics from motorcycles to killer bees to Hardy Boys and Calvin and Hobbes comics, to Hank the Cowdog and so much in between. He is an AVID reader now, and truly, this is a transformation! I can't thank HOD enough for helping to instill this in my son. Even my younger son is an avid reader now as well. They ALWAYS look forward to their library visits weekly and have never complained about any of their HOD book assignments.

Also, my 5 year old Ellie is thriving in her LHFHG too and when we don't get to read Peter Rabbit one day, she always says, "Mom, we haven't read Peter Rabbit!" She is remembering this and doing so much better with listening and answering questions, even narrating back to me.

Blessings to you all. Just wanted to share this encouragement with you. Keep pressing on in your divine calling!

What a wonderful testimony! I can say the same thing has happened to my ds. He was slower learning to read and didn't like reading until we started getting into DITHOR. He now really enjoys reading! :D

This IS an encouragement, and I am so happy for you tnahid! :D Turning our dc on to the love of reading opens doors to enjoying school so much more, and HOD has managed to do the same for my dc. Thanks for inspiring others by sharing your dc's journey of reading! :D
