Preparing Timeline

Post by girlboygirlboy » Wed Nov 16, 2011 1:04 pm

I have two kids starting Preparing this week and am trying to figure out what to do about the timeline as I don't think I have enough wall space for two to be going on at once. I'm not really visualizing the accordian type that is described in the manual. I know that there are probably other threads about this but I was having trouble finding them. Thanks!

We just started our timeline for PHFHG too, and it is neat to see it growing! Here are some pics that may help...

Since I have 2 children in Preparing, I told them we are doing the accordion-style option (they'll keep taping the cards on and keep the whole thing folded up in a ziploc bag). They really wanted to tape them up somewhere, but with a toddler in the house, I'm afraid the cards would be pulled down (especially since you are supposed to put the first card at the bottom of the wall/door!)

We're doing the fold-up accordion style one too and my dc are loving how it looks like a little book when it is folded up. It's nice because if folded the correct way, it tells the story of history visually in a little palm-sized book. :D

Thanks so much! As we plan to put the house on the market in the new year and since we will have two, I think the accordian will work for us:)
