New Bookshelves! Yay! :)

Post by gotpeace91 » Sat Sep 17, 2011 8:57 pm

I am so excited right now because we did some organizing in the school room today and I love it! My husband built some wonderful book shelves for me. Here is the link for the bookshelf plans that my husband used----> http://www.frugalhomedesigns.com/2010/0 ... elves.html I'm also pleased with the idea that I came up with for organizing the colored pencils. Here are some pictures. I thought it was so funny that the dog and cat decided they wanted to be in the picture. :D

Leah, I love your bookshelves! Having the wall space is great to have things so that the kiddo's can see them right away! What a great idea. Thanks for sharing. :D

What a great idea! I'm already thinking of all the places those shelves could be used in our home.

I think the cat likes the new bookshelves and is wondering why you didn't save a space up there for him. I love the colored pencils sorted that way. What sort of a container is that? I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it. It really works well for your pencils. Everything looks so nice and organized. I love it! :D

Your cat is definitely enjoying the lovely bookshelves and display. I'm impressed with your organization, and that your husband can build bookshelves! It looks really nice.

Thanks Everyone! :D

I was glad to share, Moedertje. It is wonderful to have that wall space. That is the largest room in our house and I'm grateful to have it.

Thanks, Lourdes. :)

Stephanie, you should do it you will love them!

Haha Patty! I'm sure she would love to hang out on the shelves. They are only 4 inches deep though so not sure if she would fit, but I guarantee she will try as soon as he takes some of those books down. :D The container is a caddy for vintage glasses that I bought at an auction a while ago. Here's a picture.

I'm sure you could also use a little caddy made for cleaning supplies or tools. I will probably eventually get one so I can put the glasses back.

Thanks, Kristin! My hubby is quite a handyman and I am sooo glad! :D

I love your shelves! They look great. I also love your animals. :) With 6 cats and a dog, you can say I am a bit of a glutton when it comes to animals. LOL
