Scheduling Rod and Staff 3

I have my 3rd grader combined in Beyond with my 1st grader. She is in R&S 3 this year after finishing R&S 2 last year. I can't remember where I read the recommendations for how much to cover each day for this level. Isn't it suggested to slow down at this point, or is that later?

1 lesson per day 4 days a week will allow you to complete the book in one school year. We followed that schedule last year and it worked out great.
