planners or log pages

what do you all use to log schoolwork?

i love the pages from donnayoung.org, and i have a few on my computer, but i always like to look at planner pages :wink:

Homeschool Tracker is a free download. I use it to log hours (we have to in MO) BUT it is not the easiest thing to figure out! :?
I also use my "handy-dandy notebook" just for writing out daily plans.

Our state (MI) doesn't require recordkeeping, so I don't do it. Should I?

That's the nice thing about our guides. They actually are all of your lesson plans written out for you for a year. Many moms just date the plans and check them off as they complete them. Then, they have their lesson plans all in one place if they are ever asked to prove what they've done. Dating the plans is also an easy way to keep attendance.

Some of the other moms on the board may have other helpful tips too.

This is actually what I do just to keep track of where I am. I also write down notes of extra little things that I do or ways I tweak things. (I hadn't thought of it as a way to keep attendance and records - but that is a great tip for the future!)
