I am so excited! I found someone selling most of the set for $65 and it came in today while I was with dh at the doctors office. When I returned home this evening Hannah was asleep on the living room floor (older two babysitting) and THE BOX was on my bed. I opened it up to investigate the beloved treasure and Hannah woke up. She saw it and said "Oooooo books!!! READ books!!! Lotsa books!!" Needless to say it was hard to keep her out of it all, so we sat and read 2 and 1/2 chapters of Ready Fox!! She didn't want me to stop. We looked at some pics and numbers in Singapore, and pages in Handwriting for a Reason which she wanted to color. I will have to hide this set from her till it is time for her to start at least a year from now. She will really enjoy it all as will I!!
Why did I get it so early? Well, I am a tweeker by nature. This will give me lotsa time. I see us adding frog and butterfly books, watching tadpoles develope, and catepillars morph. (I can't spell worth a hill of beans, sorry!) These may be in LHFHG, I haven't checked yet, but I know we will want to do lots of stuff like that.
Loving all that I have seen so far!! I was reading about the grass craft/science activity related to Ruth and Boaz. Just too cool!!! Carrie how do you think of all of this stuff??

I love going through new books too! I am a huge planner by nature, and I enjoy that part as much as the teaching! So, when I get new books, it's Just like getting a big present! Although, I will say, I have had my share of LESS THAN great box days, when something has turned out to be not what I'd thought it would be.
