I finished getting everything ready to start RTR w/ extensions (and high school "beef-ups") tomorrow!!!
I'm SO thankful to God for leading us to HOD last year and giving it to us as His perfect high school plan for us!!
Thank you to Carrie, Julie, and the Austin and Grosz families for being faithful to our Lord Jesus and creating HOD, and everyone on this board, for making this journey so wonderful!
Love in Christ,

Excited for you Heather. You are going to love RTR for high school! I planning Rev to Rev for high school and getting really excited coordinating things. Let us know how you love it after you get settled with it. We really loved using RTR at that level. I know you will too.

We are starting RTR tomorrow. I have been getting everybody ready too. Enjoy. We can compare notes. One of my RTR children is my oldest girl, 8th grade.

Heather - as Carrie and I are planning for the next guide - this was such a blessing to read! One of our hearts' desires is that more families will feel they can homeschool all the way through high school - we want parents to feel they can do it and enjoy it. We both feel the high school years are the real "harvest" years. All those years of homeschooling prior to high school, and then high school (especially the junior/senior years) are the icing on the cake. We want all families to feel they can enjoy homeschooling their dc in high school, and that they can rest assured they are teaching what they need to. I'm so glad you are feeling this way, and I pray for a wonderful high school year of teaching for you - I pray you begin to see the start of the harvest!
Love in Christ,
Julie

We had a wonderful first day! The Middle Ages was always my least favorite history period to study, but I can already see with HOD this year, it's going to be great!!

Heather, my daughter said, "I think I might like school this year." We had a pretty successful first day. Her attitude really encouraged me as she has not been a great fan of school (except reading). She rather still likes to play, create, sing and play the violin. The boys were able to keep up too, and everyone was really into discussing the material with me. We made some mistakes, but that was mainly ME misreading the instructions, not them!
