Anyone else wishing their summer away?
I can hardly wait for the Rev2Rev guide to be shipped in August. It is making me wish away my summer though! LOL! And as you can see by my siggy, I have had to hide the Rev2Rev box of books from my son because he keeps wanting to read the books in that box!

I've done all the guides now with at least one child and still feeling the HOD LOVE. LOL!

Not me! I'm enjoying my summer, but I must admit I'm missing school time a bit too. I'm sure if I was waiting to get the new Rev2Rev, I would be more anxious but I have all my things for the coming year so I can peruse them at my leisure.
Sorry I know I should rub that in
, but I'm sure it won't be long until you get the rest of your Rev2Rev things, and I'm sure it will be worth the wait!

Ummm...mine seems to be flying by all on its own!
I totally understand what you're saying though. We are eager to begin our school days again and dive into all those fun new books organized in the cupboard. (And I'm SO glad that it's not dread that we feel when we think of starting up school!
) But, we definitely love our days of summer and the time outside! Extra time to explore, play with kittens, get cows ready for the fair, work in the garden, bounce on the trampoline, swim! Thankfully with HOD, we still have time for these things in the afternoon when our work is done for the day!

Re: Anyone else wishing their summer away?
I'm def not wishing it away but I do miss doing school a little. I feel unproductive in the summer! The kids are balking a bit about me wanting to start school in the beginning of Aug. We did Sonlight last yr and they got burnt out. I think they will enjoy going back to HOD. I also think they'll enjoy having a couple extra weeks off during the school year since we're starting early:).

Yes! Mostly cause I'm waiting for our baby to get here. Just yesterday though I was in my school room and felt that I really miss HSing. I've been looking forward to Preparing for 3 years!

In a sense. I'm looking forward to fall and some more reasonable temperatures already. Schoolwise, no. We started Monday.

Re: Anyone else wishing their summer away?
We finished school in April and we can hardly wait to start school again. We are overseas and have to wait for our books to arrive, though. The children are so eager to start. The books should arrive with some visitors the end of next week and I'm not sure I'll be able to convince the children to wait until the visitors leave to begin the new year.
This will be our first year with HOD so we are especially excited.

No, I enjoy the break!
Not looking forward to the end of August ... and Routines ... and School...
But hey, at least homeschool lets me work with my children in the morning while they are fresh and awake,
instead of struggling with homework after dinner when they're tired, like all my public school mom friends do!

Yes! But I always do. July and August are my least favorite months, and Fall is my favorite season! Temps have a lot to do with that. 107* yesterday and 108* expected today!
I also love doing school!

We're having our hottest weather of the year AND starting school. It doesn't seem fair!gotpeace91 wrote:Yes! But I always do. Usually I can cheer myself up in the fall thinking that at least the weather is cooler.
