LHTH makes for smiles

Post by Starla » Thu Jun 16, 2011 8:27 am

Hi! I'm new to these boards and to HOD. But just have to share that I've been starting LHTH with my 4 yr old dd and I've been enjoying it as much as she has! She has a very short attention span with some sensory issues, but LHTH seems to be working for her. I started her this summer already because she was getting into "trouble" without enough things to keep her busy....and she was really missing "school". (She was attending a pre-K program twice a week during the school year last year where she was also receiving speech therapy.) She absolutely LOVES the little rhymes. She'll go around the house dancing/bouncing/skipping and chanting the rhymes at all times of the day. :D I'm taking it at a relaxed speed with a busy summer and also have two ds, (7 and 8 years olds) who will be starting Preparing in August. (am very excited in gearing up for that) But just wanted to share that it's been wonderful for my little girl...and I'm so glad that the Lord allowed me to discover HOD before I almost had hopped into something else!!

Am going to TRY to put two pictures in here from yesterday of her making a rainbow. She had great fun with that. I also added the cotton balls....just couldn't make a rainbow without some clouds. :D
